The Castle.
A unique place,
shaped by its history

Castello di Bibbione overlooks the Pesa Valley from a privileged position, surrounded by the hills, vineyards and olive groves of Chianti.

Its uniqueness lies not only in its ancient origins, but also in the continuity with which its history, architecture, landscape and estate life have been preserved to the present day.

This is not simply a historic residence converted into guest accommodation. It is a complex of buildings, courtyards, gardens and farmland with a distinct identity, one that continues to express the deep connection between the Castle and the land that surrounds it.

A historic residence surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and timeless landscapes.

Over a thousand
years of history

The origins of Castello di Bibbione date back to the Early Middle Ages, when its commanding position above the Pesa Valley made it strategically important for controlling the surrounding area.

Over the centuries, the Castle was extended, transformed and adapted to meet the changing needs of the families who lived here. Each period left traces that can still be seen in its architecture, interiors and in the way the estate is organised.

The history of Bibbione is therefore not something static or remote. It is a continuous layering of time, visible in the walls, courtyards and in the relationship the estate still maintains with the surrounding landscape.

Today, Castello di Bibbione can be experienced in many different ways: by staying in one of the estate apartments, taking part in a tour or tasting, choosing it as the setting for a wedding, or simply walking through its spaces and taking in the landscape.

Each experience reveals a different side of the estate, yet all share the same identity: that of a historic Castle that has preserved its character without becoming a place frozen in the past.
